Leadership Lenawee is a program of the Greater Lenawee Chamber of Commerce that focuses on developing our next generation of business and community leaders!

Leadership Lenawee is the region’s premier leadership development program. The program runs from September – May each year, meeting the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 8:30am – 12:00pm. Participants are engaged in a variety of topics and activities and are exposed to the business community throughout Lenawee County.

Sessions include a range of topics, taught by local experts. Each session is picked to engage and create conversation that will help our future leaders grow in their business role and as an individual in our community. Sessions include topics such as public speaking, emotional intelligence, DISC profiles, nonprofit governance, government 101, constructive criticism, HR 101, diversity/inclusion, ethical leadership, leader vs manager, building relationships, mapping your future, company culture, etc.

The next cohort starts in September 2024, and registration is now open!

2023-24 Leadership Lenawee Cohort

What does this program focus on?

Developing Skills

Growing in the Community

Career Growth

Networking & Relationships

A focus of the Leadership Lenawee Program is to develop skills that will create better leaders for our local business and community. Through understanding what makes our work styles and motivations different, we can better lead those around us.

Growing in the community is a strong focus of the Leadership Lenawee Program. Learning about our local government, economic development, and nonprofits, gives participants knowledge of the community where they live, work, and play.

Participants will learn and develop skills that will benefit them in moving their career forward through understanding of HR policies, giving and taking constructive criticism, building a great company culture, and creating an ethical and inclusive work environment.

Networking and relationship building helps create and grow our local community. Participants will learn skills to help them grow in the community through expanding their sphere of influence and build relationships across industries and communities.
